Ginisang Carrots at Sayote - Day 2

what is this 21 day challenge about? It's a guide to learn healthy cooking so we can be healthier
day 2, this healthy dish will make your eyes clear
stir fried carrots and chayote
let's start
here are the ingredients for this recipe
carrots, rich in vitamin A to make the eyes clear
chayote, contains anti oxidant to slow down the aging process. This is good for pregnant women or expecting mothers
tofu
onion
garlic
knorr pork cube
aside from these, we also need water and cooking oil
this dish is 21 calories per serving
let's start. Fry the tofu
pre heat the cooking oil in a cooking pot
once hot, place the tofu
fry one side until golden brown
then flip and cook the opposite side until golden brown
it's better if you fry also the sides for color uniformity
once all sides are fried, it's ready. Set aside then cut into cubes
using the same oil, saute the onion
this is chopped onion. You may use white or yellow onion
saute for 30 sec.
the here goes the garlic, crushed then minced
continue to saute until onion is soft

add carrot, cut into long strips
carrot is very important for our body

the carrot is done, proceed with the chayote
chayote is also cut into thin long strips
chayote is a very healthy vegetable, it's rich in vit. B6 for prevention of nerve diseases
it's also rich in vit. C, to boost the immune system
see? Our dish is very simple but very nutritious
saute for 30 sec.
get ready with the Knorr pork cube
add the Knorr pork cube in the cooking pot
then saute for another 30 sec.
then add water. It's that simple
once water is added. Wait for it to simmer. It's better to cover the pot to hasten the simmering process
simmer until carrot and chayote is soft

it's up to you how big you want to cut it
if prefer it smaller, it's alright
mix
continue cooking for 1 min.
transfer to a serving bowl or plate and serve!
